Welcome to the Citizen-Centered Leadership Development Community of Practice!

Carol BlessingThroughout the world people are recollecting that the health and well-being of our communities relies on the productive contributions of every one of its members. That people are, indeed, all connected. The Citizen-Centered Leadership Development Community of Practice (CCLD CoP) is a semester long investment in an in-depth study of the ideal of citizenship as it relates to the perceptions and beliefs that are held about individuals who live with disabilities and about the lived experience of those who rely heavily on the human service delivery system for significant support. This provocative series is a compendium of expert theory and applied practice that challenges members of each new learning community to think critically about roles that they and that traditional service structures play in sustaining a system that keeps people on the margins of society.
